Even with the sheild he felt them, His wounds forgotten even as the blood from his forearm dripped onto his face while he covered his ears trying to block out the snarls and the screams he heart.
His eyes pinned shut and he bit back the urge to scream. He had slumpped forward a gesture which had caused him to be close enough to feel Greyback's hind feet as they kicked out in retreat.
Then ever so slowly, the screams died out and he was left panting into the pavement trying to make the world come into focus.
